Quality policy

Customer needs are always at the forefront of all FORMET’s actions. The primary goal of the Company is to establish a customer service framework that fosters trust-based cooperation. We want to be seen as a solid and reliable partner; therefore all our actions envisage providing the highest quality of produced goods and adhering to delivery timeliness.

We aspire to attain the above-mentioned goals through:

This can be guaranteed by:

Based on the vast knowledge and experience of our sales and technical staff we would like to kindly invite you to cooperation.
We believe that in the nearest future you will see us as worthy of your trust, which will be beneficial to both parties.

Due to growing market demands, companies should be constantly enhancing the quality of produced goods. The quality cannot result from random actions, but has to be built on the planned and restrictively managed policy that envisages the maintenance of high standards of goods’ production.
The production process and the quality management policy have their beginnings in the design phase.

Design and Technology

The specific character of the sector in which the Company operates – unitary production – results in each mould being a prototype, with particularly high quality requirements. Our long-term experience in this area, highly qualified workforce, as well as state-of-the art machine facilities, all these make it possible for us to guarantee the intended quality standards.

The production of each mould, seen as a technologically complex product, is implemented from the very beginning with the use of the newest information technologies. The design process is based on such CAD systems as Unigraphics or Autodesk Inventor. Subsequently, the ready-made project undergoes a detailed verification and control process in the Technological Department, where CNC programs are created with the use of advanced CAM applications.

Thanks to fiber optic links, ready programs are transferred directly to the computers that control the machines. This interaction of the Design, Technology and Production Departments reduces the injection mould part construction time to minimum.

Production

Modern tool shop with the majority of machines controlled numerically is the basis for maintaining high quality standards of produced goods. Throughout its existence, FORMET, being a company with long tradition, has always been focusing on maintaining top-level tool shop. This can be evidenced by recently acquired Deckel Macho machine centers - DMU 100P DuoBlock, DMF 250 Linear or DMC 75V Linear. All available machine tools enable the Company to produce elements with significant dimensions, which results in the manufacture of moulds weighing up to 12 tons.

Quality Management

At every stage of the injection mould production, FORMET applies process control techniques to monitor quality, timeliness as well as the compliance with the design and technology documentation. Owing to such regime, FORMET attains the intended quality standard of injection moulds it offers. Maintaining high standards of production can be achieved only thanks to advanced measurement tools, among which one may find Stiefelmayer measuring machine. New CNC centers are equipped with special measuring instruments allowing precise control directly at the treatment stand.

Trials

At the end of the production process, each injection mould undergoes trials in the specially created with this aim injection moulding machine department. The items produced pursuant to this are finally controlled, including the use of microscopy tests, which are the final proof that the intended quality level of production has been achieved. All the processes that lead to the final production of injection mould in the completed production cycle are controlled. Such approach can guarantee maintaining the high quality standards.

Achieving the highest quality standards has been confirmed by the fact of receiving ISO 9001 certification, issued by the British quality certification body ISOQAR Ltd. This certification guarantees that the Company meets high quality standards in the whole injection mould production cycle. Detailed information on the certification can be found in the “Our certificates” section.

ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System (QMS) Certification issued by the British quality certification body ISOQAR Ltd confirms that FORMET is in conformance with ISO 9001.

What does ISO 9001 stand for?

The ISO 9000 family of standards represents an international consensus on good quality management practices. It consists of standards and guidelines relating to quality management systems and related supporting standards.
ISO 9001:2008 is the standard that provides a set of standardized requirements for a quality management system, regardless of what the user organization does, its size, or whether it is in the private, or public sector. It is the only standard in the family against which organizations can be certified – although certification is not a compulsory requirement of the standard.
The other standards in the family cover specific aspects such as fundamentals and vocabulary, performance improvements, documentation, training, and financial and economic aspects.

Why should an organization implement ISO 9001:2008?

The ISO 9001:2008 standard provides a tried and tested framework for taking a systematic approach to managing the organization's processes so that they consistently turn out product that satisfies customers' expectations.

The benefits of ISO 9001:2008 model implementation

The standard requires the organization itself to audit its ISO 9001:2008-based quality system to verify that it is managing its processes effectively - or, to put it another way, to check that it is fully in control of its activities.
In addition, the organization may invite its clients to audit the quality system in order to give them confidence that the organization is capable of delivering products or services that will meet their requirements.
Lastly, the organization may engage the services of an independent quality system certification body to obtain an ISO 9001:2008 certificate of conformity. This last option has proved extremely popular in the market-place because of the perceived credibility of an independent assessment.
The organization may thus avoid multiple audits by its clients, or reduce the frequency or duration of client audits. The certificate can also serve as a business reference between the organization and potential clients, especially when supplier and client are new to each other, or far removed geographically, as in an export context.
